IKF Asia-Oceania Championship: Hosts China to semifinals

China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong China and Australia have qualified for the semifinals of the 2010 IKF Asia-Oceania Championship. All four countries have now also qualified for the 2011 IKF World Championship.

After a fantastic opening ceremony which included traditional Chinese singers and dancers, drummers, musicians and acrobats the 6000 strong crowd at the Zhuzhou Sports Centre Gymnasium sounded very excited to see korfball played in their city.

Ranking U19 Junior World Cup

The U19 Junior World Cup 2010 in Leek (NED) had a well deserved winner; The Netherlands. They beat Chinese Taipei in the final 26 - 17.

The Belgian team became third after a 15 -9 win over Portugal.

International Coaching and Referee Courses

The Chinese Korfball Association (CKA) have organized International Coaching and Referee Courses to be held in conjunction with the Asia Oceania Korfball Championships next week.

The courses will he held from April 4th to 7th at the Zhuzhou Sports Center Gymnasium and participants will come from all over Asia and Oceania.

Four lecturers from IKF and AOKF have been invited to be the lecturers.

Mrs. Helen Searle (Regional Vice President for Oceania) will be the instructor for the IKF Coaching Clinic.

Mr. Graham Grafter (IKF Secretary General), Mr. Iven Lee (IKF Referee), Mr. Mark Chu (Chairman of AOKF Referee Committee) will jointly conduct the referee clinics.
