Scaldis is the new Belgian champion. In an exciting final in the Antwerpen LOTTO Arena they proved to be the strongest team in the Belgian Topkorfball League. Scaldis beat the former two time champion Boeckenberg. Last year Scaldis was the runner up. This was the first Scaldis title after 40 years.
The winner took the trophy by a margin of four: 20-16. Topsorer was the Scaldis captain and Belgian international Bart Cleyman with 8 goals.

The U16 team of the Netherlands has won this year's edition of the U16 Talent World Cup. In the final, the Netherlands beat Chinese Taipei by 27-9. Russia gained bronze, beating England 11-10.

Dr. Inglish Ying-Che Huang (IKF Regional Vice President for Asia) and Mrs. Bird Fang-Yi Hsieh (AOKF Secretary General) visited Malaysia in the period from 25 January 2010 to 28 January 2010.
During this fruitful tour where over 1,000 kilometres were travelled in three days, the instructors visited two schools and various other institutions including an association, a college, an orphanage, a ball factory, a steel factory and initiated discussions with various sport leaders about the possibilitiies of further developing korfball in the region.

The 8th IKF Asia Oceania Korfball Championship will be played from April 3rd to 8th at the Zhuzhou Sports Centre Gymnasium, China.
The eight (8) nations competing for the Championship title will be Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Korea, India, New Zealand, and Pakistan.

The IKF is pleased to announce the appointment of Michel van Swieten to the joint role of editor of the IKF magazine Korfball International and IKF Media Officer, with immediate effect.
Michel lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and has played korfball for many years. From the age of 16 he has reported on korfball for different magazines and newspapers in The Netherlands. For the past couple of years he was editor in chief of the Royal Dutch Korfball Association (KNKV)’s magazine Korfball! He has also worked extensively with electronic media.

Twelve (12) countries from three (3) continents have entered the 15th U19 Junior World Cup 2010 which will be played in Leek (NED). This IKF patronised international korfball tournament for players under 19 is held in the Sports Centre Leek from 1 – 4 April 2010 and is patronised by the International Korfball Federation (IKF).
