The IKF's youngest korfball member Belarus is working very hard to ensure the future of korfball by conducting a national school korfball championship.

A full-strength Dutch U21 team lost in a thriller match - decided after a Golden Goal - to the Chinese Taipei U23 team, without Ricky Wu, in the final of the 19th Monuta U23 World Cup in Apeldoorn (NED). It has been the first time in history the Dutch U21 team has lost a match to a different team than Belgium. Dutch coach Wim Scholtmeyer was very disappointed after the result and KNKV will know they have homework to do toward next year's IKF U21 European Championship to be held in Milton Keynes (ENG)

DOS'46 Engeldot won their 3rd IKF Europa Cup in four years. An excellent result for the Dutch Champion from the city of Nijeveen. Their opponent in the final was Boeckenberg KC (BEL). The final was a high level match and the spectators in the BLOSO Sports Center in Herentals (BEL) and the viewers behind their TV's did see a spectacular match. The end result was DOS ’46 Engeldot - Boeckenberg KC : 27 - 20.
