The IKF's youngest korfball member Belarus is working very hard to ensure the future of korfball by conducting a national school korfball championship.

This event was recently commenced with preliminary rounds being held in the region of Svetlogorsk.
Eight teams participated and the winner was a team from school number 5. A further qualification tournament will take place on 13 February in Dzerzhinsk and one day later the championship for the region of Minsk will also be held.

After the tournament in Mogilev, to be held on 20 February the four qualifying teams from all the regional championships will compete for the national title which will be held in Svetlogorsk on 27 February 2010.
